These terms apply between you and Kavre Scrap Yard whenever you use this website or app, book a pickup, or sell or give material to us. Using any of those means you accept them.
01Who we are
Kavre Scrap Yard is a scrap yard in Banepa that buys recyclable material from the public and from businesses, either collected by our vans or brought to the yard. Collection is only available within the areas listed on our website.
02Making a booking
- Please give a working phone number and an address our driver can find.
- A booking is a request until we phone to confirm the day and time window.
- You can move or cancel a booking at no cost until the van has set off.
- If we can't make a confirmed slot, we'll call you to rearrange.
03Prices and weighing
Prices on the website are guide prices. The amount you receive is worked out at handover from the reading on our digital scale and the grade of the material, which we agree with you. Payment is made before our crew leaves, or at the counter for yard drop-offs.
04What we will and won't take
We buy paper, cardboard, metals, plastics, electronics, batteries, appliances, vehicle scrap and whole glass bottles and jars. We don't accept broken glass, medical or chemical waste, gas cylinders that haven't been emptied, or general household rubbish. Our crew may turn down anything that looks unsafe to handle.
05Your part
- Only sell things that belong to you or that you have permission to sell.
- Clear personal files from devices first, or ask us to destroy the storage for you.
- Have the bluebook or ownership papers ready when selling a vehicle.
- Give our crew safe access and treat them courteously.
06When items become ours
Once you've been paid (or have handed over donated items), the material belongs to Kavre Scrap Yard. We can't return items after that point, so set aside anything you might want to keep before the crew arrives.
07Our liability
Our crew works carefully, and if they damage your property we'll put it right. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, we won't owe more on any claim than what that job was worth. We aren't responsible for data left on devices you hand over.
08Law and disputes
Nepali law applies to these terms. If we can't sort out a disagreement by talking it through, it will be handled by the courts with jurisdiction over Kavrepalanchok.
